Daniela joined our civil litigation group after having worked on both plaintiff and defense side previously. She has medical malpractice defense experience and had defended clients including, prominent hospitals, doctors, and insurance companies. She has successfully negotiated settlements in high exposure, complex matters. As a plaintiff’s attorney, Daniela negotiated settlements, conducting mediation/arbitration hearings, and drafting legal memoranda including appellate briefs. She also spear-headed the firm’s employment law department and represented individuals who had been discriminated in the workplace.
Daniela attended St. John’s University School of Law, where she was a senior staff member of the New York International Law Review and St. John’s Journal of International and Comparative Law. She is passionate about global affairs and languages; she knows French and Spanish and has volunteered as a foreign language translator. She is currently learning Arabic. Daniela is also a member of her local ASPCA and supports animal rescue shelters/adoption organizations.
